new year's resolution :))

1. study HARDER.

this is top priority.

... That means, i should go home earlier, read books that are connected to nursing (and NOT twilight or HP), and study for quizzes the night before (and NOT an hour before).

2. be nicer to my siblings.

blood is thicker than water jov! LOL :))

3. be more confident.

i must not be too shy too ask the salesman/lady any questions. i should participate in class more actively.

4. continue being cheerful despite dilemmas.

i ought to always remember that HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE. dwelling in one's misery is only going to make things a lot worse. just smile and face the problem head on!

5. learn to drive an effin' car!!!

geez. i'm 16! i ought to know this by know, even just the basics. the fact is: I DONT! LOL :))

i am a complete imbecile when it comes to motors. gotta change that.

6. keep a semi-diary.

2008, my most remarkable year yet, passed by without me writing the events down. argh! how frustrating. i always include this one in my new year's resolution list and i always fail to accomplish it.

sigh. hopefully, this year, it's gonna be different. haha.

7. keep my HS friends.

this is actually more of a life goal than a new year's resolution.

ABS-CBN bags rights for local 'Twilight' remake

Filipino fans of Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series will soon have another reason to celebrate after broadcasting giant ABS-CBN bagged the exclusive rights to make a local television series based on the vampire novels.

Initial reports said ABS-CBN paid $1 million with co-producer Ignite Media for the rights to the Twilight series.

The new series, tentatively titled "Takipsilim", will reunite the onscreen tandem of Rayver Cruz and Shaina Magdayao.

Taping for the series will start February of next year. Some parts of the series will be shot abroad and the other locations include Tagaytay, Bukidnon and Baguio. The series will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

ABS-CBN has bought the rights to make a tv version of the hit vampire novel "Twilight", ABS-CBN's CEO, Euegenio Lopez III signed a contract last December 6, 2008 for the
tv adaptation of Twilight, the rights cost a more than a million dollars, the taping is set to start next year by February in Baguio, Tagaytay, Bukidnon and some parts will tape outside the country. And it will be directed by Cathy Garcia Molina, the tv adaptation will focus with the love story between Edward and Bella, this is much more than a drama, romance, but also fantasy. This is co-produce by Ignite Media Inc.

boredom drove my imagination WILD.

*I wrote this on December 15, 2008. I just didn't have the time to type it on my PC. Here it is, finally.*

On December 14, 2008, i rode the Light Rail Transit from the Monumento Station to that at Vito Cruz, on my way to the Aliw Theatre. I am to watch a ballet recital, a requirement for my PE class. I was lucky to snatch a seat at the populated train to be perfectly honest. It was a long ride, so I did a little personal sightseeing. I guess my boredom drove my imagination wild. You'd be surprised at how imaginative I could be, trust me.

The first focal stimulus that caught my eye was this man, around his early 20s who was playing basketball in a court all alone. In that split second that the train passed by this scene, I witnessed him make a good shot at the basket. It was interesting to see someone play this game in solitude, considering that basketball is a team sport.

I visualized this man as an aspiring professional player... I saw him in poverty, without connection to powerful personalities. Someone blessed with talent... Talent left unrecognized.

The next picture that my eyes phtographed is that of this woman who is manually washing heaps of clothing in a big basin. Perhaps, she is a mother of family belonging to a low income clan. She has 5 kids, and her husband, is well, let's say, not the most responsible father in the world. LOL.

(Possibly a residual stimulus since I seem to be deriving from my own experiences. haha!)

The thrid nd most prominent photo engraved upon my long-term memory is one of a couple. They were walking down the lane, holding hands, and talking. Well, of course, I did not hear them speak.... I only imgined that part. I saw them communication silently, not with their mouths, but in their minds. I just know this couple is meant to be together. Destiny is in line with the desire of their hearts, and nothing will alter that.

As I was waling down the stairs of the Vito Cruz Station, I realized how many stories there must be in this wide world, how many tales each person has to tall, how many people are alive, each with dilemmas and concerns.

I also realized how much of a lunatic I am to meddle with people's lives. ROFL =)) ... I guess THAt is my story to tell. haha.

Lesson learned?
