fantasy?

Nowadays, it is common for people, especially those my age to forward quotes through text messages. It is a way of taking attention and even a way to express oneself. Most of the times however, it is just a way of making the most out of the unlimited texting promo.

Last night, i received this quote that literally, made me cry. I'm not sure you'll believe me or understand why. But here is the quote:

"Part of the fantasy of every betrayed person is that one day, the person who caused the pain they've felt will come back and answer all the question and apologize for hurting you.
but the thing is... they won't. they'll die a liar and will feel good about themselves. That's how selfish they are. They can't give you closure, you have to find it yourself. You get angry with them. Then, you get over them, bless them in your mind and have peace with yourself.
So that when and if that person comes back, you can say hi and goodbye in the same sentence."
(Oprah Winfrey)

It made me cry because that truth hurts a lot. He doesn't care about me now.
Nevertheless, there is also this other quotes which implies that not hoping, even in the tiniest sense, is impossible. So I guess Ms. Hope '07 at SMCM isn't shedding that title any time soon.
But i'm not taking any chances concerning him anymore. I've got to move on... on my own. I can't count on him anymore.

No further statements.

my summer '08

well, my summer didn't really start off well. I broke up with my first boyfriend see... actually, it was the other way around. haha.

we worked it out though for about 5 hours or something. after that, he called it off again. a make-up and break-up in one day. nice huh? =P

well if you think that's the concept of this article, think again. that's just my introduction to the my summer 2008.
  • my grandparents visited us here in the philippines two weeks. I had a day to shop at DV, frequent visits to the mall (with take-homes of course! =P), and an all-expenses trip to baguio (even had a few hours of independence at SM baguio, which was really cool).

  • grade school reunion. it was nice to catch up with at least some of my former classmates.

  • my enrollment to the Far Eastern University. kelvin & niƱa are, thank God, my classmates again =)

  • the making of the Genies Book of Records. this was one whirlwind of a ride! too many memorable experiences to mention =)

  • my super sweet sixteenth birth date (see "sweet, sweet sixteen" post for more details)

  • 1st went bowling. found the beauty of it, haha.

  • creekside restobar. i watched the gig of dugong bughaw and israfel with dazel, ate joy and bevz. 1st drank a beer with friends (that was 1 beer to 4 people).

  • summer training of the COA's '07-'08... I was one of those with complete attendance throughout the 5-day training. fun! the 1st day of training was actually the 1st anniversary of the offijers. also, a reunion for us bhouraoghts. my barkada and i ate lunch together, like we used to back in high school, and talked (mostly about a dilemma that dazel was facing). this time, it was almost unlimited! haha.
  • sleepover '08 at my house with jhelaw, dazel, ian, dessa, mariel, louie v and memong =) weeee!

  • TOEFL (test on english as foreign language). stressful. but an experience nonetheless. learned a lot in the case of facts.

  • last week of my summer vacation. monday-movie & ours of chatting with friends. tuesday-bonding with my grandma (we shopped and watched a movie). wednesday-formation of my first band (named grinxia), bowling out with buds and spin the bottle at cesdel's house (which eventually lead to just sharing thoughts and problems). thursday-tripping at SMmarilao with girl friends (we kind of just tried on clothes but didn't buy 'em. haha) and bought a gift for ma'am soquila. friday-genies 1st anniversary, hanged out at SM marilao for a while, then went to dazel's house and again, talked, laughed, and had a good time =). being busy is good! haha.

well, those are the specific details to my summer. but the highlights of the summer as a whole? read on.

  • i made new friends. heaps! =) ... from the COA's, to fellow tamaraws.

  • i learned that thinking positively goes far... friends make it easier along the way: especially with my friends. they're the best.

  • also, i found out who my real friends were, those that were there during the good times, and the bad times.

  • had a great time. it was amazing... who knew that so much could happen in two months? =)
call me plastic, unrealistic, in denial.
i say whatever.
this is the truth and if you're not happy that i got my happy ending despite my not-so-happy beginning, then bye bye. don't need you in my life.

my summer '08 was fun, fun, fun.
a broken heart always means a future fix-up. my heart is fixing just fine.

as it turns out, happy ever after for this princess isn't with prince charming...
it's with her wonderful friends ^_^
